Welcome to the Writing CenterThe Greater Hartford Writing Center, located in Room 303 of the Undergraduate Building, offers peer and professional tutoring in writing. The Center offers a peaceful study environment where undergraduate and graduate students can work with tutors who take a collaborative, student-directed approach to learning. Students of all proficiency levels and at all stages in their academic careers use the Center as a place to participate in the same kind of collegial intellectual engagement that characterizes academic work throughout the university. Sign-up for appointments is available outside the Writing Center. We strongly recommend making appointments ahead of time, as drop-ins are not guaranteed appointments. Some students may wish to schedule standing appointments with the same tutor every week. To inquire about standing appointments or for other information, contact the Writing Center at 570-9237.
