Welcome to the Writing CenterOther ResourcesThe Greater Hartford Writing Center, located in Room 303 of the Undergraduate Building, offers peer and professional tutoring in writing. The Center offers a peaceful study environment where undergraduate and graduate students can work with tutors who take a collaborative, student-directed approach to learning. Students of all proficiency levels and at all stages in their academic careers use the Center as a place to participate in the same kind of collegial intellectual engagement that characterizes academic work throughout the university. Sign-up for appointments is available outside the Writing Center. We strongly recommend making appointments ahead of time, as drop-ins are not guaranteed appointments. Some students may wish to schedule standing appointments with the same tutor every week.
